Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience: Two years of professional experience in assistive technology, computer technology, rehabilitation/special education or related disability/allied health services required. Experience in assistive technology preferred.
Notes: Possession of a master’s degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Possession of a doctoral degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
Knowledge of: application and operation of assistive technology services, primarily computer-based, including assessment, recommendation, consultation, set-up, orientation, delivery, and training. Ability to: communicate with individuals with disabilities to assess/diagnose assistive technology problems and recommend solutions; provide individualized or small group training on assistive technology; and to work as a member of a rehabilitation team.
