Main Purpose of Job
This is a professional position responsible for the administration, coordination, and the delivery of technical assistance related to the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Race to the Top (RTTT) Charter School Project, including the planning, coordination and implementation of key project initiatives related to each Race to the Top goal.
Provides technical support to Charter School Stakeholders; assists the Director in all aspects of the RTTT Charter School Project; provides ongoing support to local school systems, consultants, and charter school leadership teams in the implementation of project goals and related activities; develops, updates and maintains all presentation materials associated with the project; establishes and conducts all review procedures for evaluation of the project; recommends participants for partnerships and pilot schools; prepares publications and disseminates project reports, brochures, manuals and other publications; reconciles invoices to approved budgetary items of the grant; conducts onsite visits with grantees, reviews grantee’s federal funds, and assures they are utilized in an appropriate and effective manner to ensure project compliance.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: A Masters Degree or post 36 post baccalaureate hours in Education, Educational Administration Psychology or closely related field is required. Coursework in education program supervision or educational leadership is desirable. EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of professional experience in administrative work in or affiliated with educational programs and the management of grants programs. Working knowledge of spreadsheet design, data manipulation, and relational database structures and operations is preferred. NOTE: A Master's Degree or equivalent 36 credit hours of post baccalaureate course work in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instructional Area may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
