Main Purpose of Job

This is a professional position responsible for providing supervision, technical assistance, support, review and evaluation for accuracy of credentialing levels of child care providers applying to participate in the Maryland child care credentialing program.

POSITION DUTIES

Provides technical assistance to the child care community and data entry contractor on reviewing, evaluating and determining credential level and verifies accuracy; communicates relevant information to stakeholders; ensures all components of the credentialing and training voucher/reimbursement programs are relayed in a timely and understandable format; promotes programs and recruits family child care providers and center staff to participate; coordinates fiscal monitoring of Credentialing program financial records and grants in adherence to all policies and procedures regarding procurement, contracts, and accountability of grants; ensures accuracy in review and evaluation of applications in accordance with COMAR.

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: Master’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work or closely related field is required.

Experience:  Three (3) years of professional experience with Education or Early Childhood Programs that includes experience in credentialing is preferred.  Experience in fiscal monitoring, grant and financial adherence policies and practices are desired.
