Main Purpose of Job

The Contractual Services Specialist is the full performance level of work directing one or more general services functions for State departments, agencies or facilities. The main purpose of this position is performing general building and grounds worker duties, emptying recycle boxes, deliver packages/supplies, help survey and prepare list of excess property, and pick up and drop off mail every day. The incumbent will assist with the management of state vehicles by cleaning interior, washing, waxing, maintenance, oil changes, gas fill ups, performing minor repairs to furniture, moving furniture as necessary, etc.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.

NOTE:

1. Additional experience as stated above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
