Main Purpose of Job

This is a full time position for on-site administrative & facility support in the Annapolis office, responsible for ordering supplies & receiving inventory using FMIS, ADPICS system, supply room maintenance, and supervise the daily operations of the mail room. As the singular administrative worker in this classification in Annapolis, the incumbent in this postion manages the supply ordering, receiving and delivery of such orders for the five agency facilities - Harmony House, Glen Burnie, Heritage, Crownsville, and the Annapolis offices. The incumbent will assist as needed with the agency Fleet Management and Central service functions.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Please describe in detail any job duties relating to the minimum qualifications stated below and include any computer software that you used in the positions you held.

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.

Notes:

1. Additional experience as stated above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Microsoft Office.

Experience with Customer Service.

Experience with inventory and data entry.

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. If you are scheduled to complete an educational or licensing requirement within six months of the assessment, you may participate in the application process.

Permanent Maryland State employees may also complete necessary experience requirements within six months of the date of the assessment. However, such candidates will appear in pending status on the eligible list until documentation has been received indicating that the educational and/or experience requirements have been met.

Credit may be given for relevant part-time, temporary, or volunteer experience.  Please list the number of hours worked per week.

For education obtained outside the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. Foreign school credential evaluations must be submitted with your application.
