Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to create, maintain, revise and distribute regulations and policies for the Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP) and MCHP Premium, as well as to assist MCHP management with the Local Health Department MCHP Grant processes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three years of administrative or professional experience developing or applying policies and regulations in medical assistance, health insurance, federal or State entitlement programs.

Note: Additional administrative or professional experience applying policies and regulations in medical assistance, health insurance, federal or State entitlement programs or in a health or human service program may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Successful applicants must have one year of experience with training, including development of training materials and delivering trainings.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should experience auditing case records and program compliance reports to identify training needs and program improvements.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties may be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
