LOCATION OF POSITION
DHMH, Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, Baltimore, MD
Main Purpose of Job
This position provides administrative support to the staff and Board members of the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, primarily in licensure unit but also as support to Program Director, Deputy Director, and Investigative unit. Job duties include responsibility for case deposits, mail, scheduling appointments and updating calendars for the Program Manager, Deputy Director, Compliance Manager, Licensing Administrator and Investigator.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Three years performing secretarial or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
The successful applicant must have three years of experience working with senior management and interfacing with public, including processing cash and check receipts and maintaining accounting logs. Incumbent must be able to gather and articulate complex information to the general public, applicants and licensees.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a typewriter or keyboard on a personal computer, computer terminal or work processor at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
