Main Purpose of Job

This position directly supervises unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled maintenance workers on daily operations of the Maintenance Department. This position prioritize, schedules, assigns and monitors all work orders daily. The position inspects all buildings monthly, purchases repair parts and conducts inventory of the department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Completion of eighth grade.

Experience: Four years experience in the building maintenance or building construction trades including three years of responsibility for assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance or building construction workers.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in the licensed option must possess and maintain a current Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer License from the Board of Examining Engineers and must list the license number and date on the application.

2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
