Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to support projects related to the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act and Maryland Medicaid operations in general. The incumbent will attend stakeholder meetings, internal program and staff meetings, conference calls and committee meetings on health reform. This position will assist with implementation of State Innovation Model (SIM) grant programs, as applicable, and the implementation of Maryland's All-Payer Waiver. The employee will assist in program design, implementation, and evaluation across the Medicaid programs and coordinating all system and regulation changes across the many entities in partnerships with DHMH. This position will also assist with grant writing and reporting for waiver-related programs, data analysis, state and federal legislation analysis, program quality evaluation, provider network adequacy evaluation and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.

 NOTE:

A Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for the required experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
