Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide, independently and in concert with others, requisite services to and on behalf of individuals.  Incumbent must discharge professional responsibilities in accordance with expertise, ethical considerations, and applicable regulatory standards or requirements.  This position will:  serve on an inter-disciplinary team; is primary familial contact; assess individuals needs and explore possible response; and, write updated social summaries in accordance with Center policies and professional practices. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.

Note:

1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidate will have past experience working with Dual Diagnosed individuals.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
