LOCATION OF POSITION

Springfield Hospital Center, Sykesville, MD

Main Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for the direct operations of all support services within the Springfield Hospital Center, an inpatient psychiatric hospital operated by the State of Maryland. This position exercises responsibility for the budgetary and fiscal management of the hospital and is responsible for the allocation of resources associated with $70+million budget and 771.5 (FTE) positions.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferably in a health, human service or management field and five years of administrative experience, including two years at a managerial or supervisory level.  A related master’s degree will substitute for one year of general experience.  Experience managing or supervising one or more hospital or residential care facility support service units or departments is desirable.  Additional administrative experience will substitute year for year for the college degree.

This is a management service position.
