Main Purpose of Job
This position will plan events, logistics and coordination, will be integrally involved in event sourcing and follow-up, will be responsible for coordinating client meetings, site visits and will develop relationships with potential clients and vendors. The job requires a passion for details, organization and creativity; marketing and public relations skills and an understanding of the benefits and how to leverage social media.
POSITION DUTIES

Develop and execute plans for revenue generating events

Oversee and manage the day to day operations of the special events and outreach departments

Present projects to prospects; write presentations; create and modify agreements and close deals

Interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Corporate Support, operations, content, web development, staff and volunteers and outside vendors to ensure execution of marketing campaigns

Set goals, manage and coordinate with various departments to promote and market events via a variety of methods including but not limited to email, web and social media. Host cross departmental meetings to find best practices

Manage the creation and deployment of marketing communications

Work with social media to conduct community outreach and promote event awareness and registration via social media channels

Research, initiate, secure and execute partnerships for events

Manage budgets for each event

Act as overall project manager for each event

Create, manage, execute and oversee an annual department budget along with multiple project budgets with responsibility for success
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: B.A. degree in public relations, marketing or related field experience preferred
Experience: 5 years experience in promotions, marketing or public relations.
- Experience in creating, managing and producing a variety of events
- Coordinating event details including logistics, budgets, vendors, timelines, sourcing products; knowledge of event rentals
- A demonstrated history of completing projects on time and within budgets

Proven track record of bringing in and working with sponsors and high value partnerships
