LOCATION OF POSITION

Crownsville, Maryland

In the future, DHCD will be relocating from Crownsville, Anne Arundel County, to the New Carrollton transit stop location in Prince George’s County.

POSITION DUTIES

This position supports the Manager Single Family Collections and staff that oversee contract servicers performance in Collections and Loss Mitigation for the single family MHF insured bond-funded loans, bond-funded loans with other mortgage insurance, and uninsured state-funded loans. Duties include typing, filing, answering phones, updating excel documents, preparing and distributing reports and legal documents, coordinating timesheet submission for all staff, scanning documents, distributing mail, and setting up meetings on Outlook. This position is part of the team that assists in achieving the Department's mission of encouraging home ownership and careful use of DHCD's financial resources. The position is part of the team that helps achieve the division's goal of maintaining the delinquency rate on the single family insured portfolio below that for the FHA Maryland portfolio and helping low and moderate-income Maryland families retain their homes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years performing secretarial or clerical work involving typing duties.

Notes:

  1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel.
