Introduction
The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) / Occupational and Professional (O&P)Licensing Boards/Board of Babers and Cometology is accepting applications from qualified candidates for 4 CONTRACTUAL Licensing and Regulation Inspector positions.
This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible will be used to staff this position or function only. This list will be maintained for one year. You will need to reapply for any future recruitment for this job classification.

LOCATION OF POSITION
This is a field position that will require travel to various locations.
Please note that inspectors may be required to travel outside of the respective location assigned and must be willing to travel to other locations.

Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a State high school equivelancy certificate.
EXPERIENCE: One year of experience obtaining and analyzing factual information, and preparing reports of findings and conclusions for administrative or court hearings.

SELECTION PROCESS

The certified list will be used by DLLR for a period of one year.

BENEFITS
Due to the contractual nature of the position, the selected candidate will be paid only for hours worked.
This position has no state-paid benefits (i.e. sick leave, annual leave, personal leave, holidays, health insurance, etc.). The person filling this position may purchase healthcare insurance at the state’s group rate.
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS
Military Veterans may qualify for additional bonus points towards certification. A copy of your proof of eligibility (DD 214) for Veterans’ Credit must be in this office and completely verified before Veterans’ Credit will be approved. Permanent State employees do not need to submit proof of eligibility for Veterans’ Credit. Online application process is STRONGLY preferred.
