Introduction
This is a project-based/part-time contractual position with no benefits. It is estimated that the project will take approximately two hundred (200) hours in a 3-4 month period.

About fifty percent (50%) of the work can be done remotely.
Main Purpose of Job
Assist GOMA in the preparation of the Fiscal Year 2013 Annual Report on the Usage of Minority and Women-Owned Brokerage and Investmant Management Firms by the State Retirement and Pension System, Injured Workers' Insurance Fund, Maryland Automobile Fund, and the State Treasurer's Office (collectively "Investment Agencies") summarizing the information collected by GOMA under SB606. POSITION DUTIES
Analyze and verify data submitted by the Investment Agencies and obtain supplemental data as needed;
Organize and present data in tables and charts;
Submit draft and final versions of the report that summarizes data collected, includes appropriate tables and charts, and provides programmatic recommendations;
Provide legislative testimony as requested; and
Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or related area.
Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience in accounting, finance, economics, law, or related field. Six months of this experience must include creating graphs, charts, and tables in Excel.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree from accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or related area.
Experience in the investment management field.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word.
