Main Purpose of Job
This vacancy, located in the Operational Services Administration (OSA), provides advanced level administrative and fiscal support. The incumbent of this position reports to the Executive Assistant and provides exceptional secretarial support to the Director and the Deputy Director of OSA as well as other OSA offices including Operational Services and Management, Office of Procurement and Contract Management, Office of Central Services, Office of Fiscal Services and the Office of Human Resources. This position deals with the public and provides excellent customer service. The selected candidate must be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential correspondence and have the ability to accurately proofread for accuracy, punctuation, spelling, and grammar are correct. Position is also accountable for various special projects requiring independent judgment and accuracy as well as management of confidential information. Proficiency in Word and Excel is a must. PLEASE NOTE: A skills assessment in the areas of Word, Excel and proofreading will be administered at the time of the interview.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
Experience: None
Note: Candidates may substitute one year of experience in administrative or professional work for the required education, at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of the required education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Ø Experience dealing with the public and providing excellent customer service;
Ø Experience working for a higher-level Administrator, elected official, or Program Manager in a high-profile setting;
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office products;
Ø Ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters as well as proofread for accuracy, punctuation, spelling and grammar.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
