Work that matters. The Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) is a national leader in community development and affordable housing. The Division of Neighborhood Revitalization seeks a positive individual experienced with financial management in the public sector who will challenge the status quo, effectively communicate excitement about grants management, independently implement practical and efficient solutions, believe change is good and want to come to work knowing that what they do makes a difference.
DHCD has an immediate opening for a Grants Manager in its Division of Neighborhood Revitalization. This individual must be a highly organized, customer oriented, self-motivated, team player, with a professional demeanor, great interpersonal skills, self-motivation and proficiency with MS Office Suite of software applications. Applicant will be required to demonstrate competence with Excel. Ability to work with automated data systems is also required

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM AND SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Please read job announcement carefully.
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Three years of experience in administrative or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
One year of work experience must have involved processing, tracking, and maintaining financial records; preparing financial reports; and verifying and reconciling financial data.
