Main Purpose of Job
Assist with the coordination of production and post production activities for television for various Content Enterprises projects. Supervise and offline edit projects under the supervision of various producers. Assist in producing location shoots for segments of programs. Assist coordinating producers with delivery of National programs and materials to satellite partners and distributors.
POSITION DUTIES
- Researches content and other program needs such as guests, community resources, talent, music and ancillary items under the supervision of producer or staff
- Assists in production of programs, books facilities, facilities shoots and assists in the studio or assists on location
- Maintains records for program deliverables, stock footage, music cue sheets, releases, scripts and needs for Closed Captioning and Tech Eval of program masters
- Ability to accesss current information on required National deliverables and confirms number/format of tapes and label requirements from APT or PBS
- Occasionally perform offline AVID edits and create video files from internal posting via MPT Youtube and Facebook sites
- Edit video material for DVD reels, including creation of screen menus. Confirm type and tech specs on DVD materials required by vendor/manufacturer

May perform other duties as assigned or necessary for the successful completion of project and may occasionally be required to work outside regular daytime business hours
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in film, media, mass communications or related field and one year of experience which involved various aspects of television production such as research, segment creation, booking facilities and editing.
NOTE: Applicants may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Driver's License
