Main Purpose of Job
The Contractual Child Care Provider I provides support to the behavioral health counselors and their clients, primarily pregnant and post-partum women during their treatment in an outpatient program. The mothers are permitted to bring their infants and toddlers to treatment services. The program provides child care during the counseling group and individual sessions. This position will coordinate the care provided by the volunteer foster grandmothers, ensuring the provision of a safe and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. This position also coordinates with the Infant and Toddler Program personnel who work with the children on a weekly basis through the Wicomico Board of Education. Child care experience is preferred. This is a part-time contractual position working between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, providing and organizing child care activities at the Center 4 Clean Start (C4CS).
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Child care experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate should have child care experience with proof of child care training.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
