The Maryland State Retirement Agency's Finance Division has a contractual supervisory Administrative Officer I position for within the Mail and Check Processing Operations Unit.

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to supervise the Mail and Check Processing Operations Unit (MCPOU).

POSITION DUTIES

The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and evaluating the work within the unit; the successful candidate trains, interprets policies and procedures, provides distribution services, as well as control and payment authorization responsibilities.  The position maintains agency supplies, inventory, record retention, and duplication services.  Additional duties include, the supervision of the Electronic Document Management Unit in the absence of the supervisor.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: One (I) year experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.
