Main Purpose of Job

A Food Administrator II directs all daily activities of the food service operation at the Lower Eastern Shore Children's Center. This includes planning, organizing, evaluating, and directing food production and food service including the procurement of food and food service supplies. Site monitoring for J. DeWeese Carter Center and Linton's Managed Services' contract with Carter. This position supports the mission of the agency by providing safe, nutritious, appetizing meals that promote the optimal health, growth, and well being of youth housed at the Lower Eastern Shore Children's Center.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year (I), two years (II), four years (III), and five years (IV) of experience managing large-scale food service operations in an institutional, commercial, industrial or similar organization.

Note: Additional experience supervising in a large-scale food service operation may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is not a member of a covered bargaining unit and will not be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
