Main Purpose of Job

This position provides assistance to Director as it relates to policy, procedures, and process completion.  The incumbent will be responsible for developing a management approach to long term success through customer satisfaction, and working closely with all members of the organization.  Position responsibilities include participating and improving processes, service delivery and the culture in which staff work.  Day to day duties will include analyzing data, and disseminating information for each program area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Please describe in detail any job duties relating to the minimum qualifications stated below and include any computer software experience (Excel, CHESSIE, Powerpoint, Word etc.) used in the each of the positions you held.

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes:

1. Additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Applicants may substitute education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 semester hours per year for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

Ability to develop plans, prepare and conduct briefings and presentations.

Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and research ability.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and ability to accomplish team objectives, participate on committees.

Proven problem solving and analytical skills.

A strong background in project management and ability to effectively identify challenges and opportunities.

Collaborative working style that engages others to help find solutions and implement activities.  Interface with senior management and key partners and stakeholders.

Ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved.

Grant writing or resource development background desired.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
