LOCATION OF POSITION

Crownsville, Maryland

In the future, DHCD will be relocating from Crownsville, Anne Arundel County, to the New Carrollton transit stop location in Prince George’s County.

POSITION DUTIES

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide administrative support to the office of communications and marketing to manage billing/tracking for the agency's substantial advertising/marketing contract that promotes its key services including the Maryland Mortgage Program, and Foreclosure Prevention services. This position processes invoices for payment, in accordance with state procurement policies/procedures and works with the vendor and DHCD responsible staff to verify service delivery for billed services, obtain proper approval and track payment. It also works closely with DHCD Finance to maintain accurate and current records of these transactions. Additionally, this position manages/processes small procurements to support marketing/promotional events/campaigns, ordering office equipment/supplies; travel arrangements, ordering office and graphics supplies and equipment and processes all invoices for payment other related procurements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year of experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.

2. Candidates may substitute 90 credit hours at an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.
