Main Purpose of Job

The Department of Natural Resources, Fisheries Service in Annapolis, Maryland, is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Contractual Administrative Specialist II. This position will support the commercial permitting program. Duties and responsibilities include: collecting daily harvest data from commercial check in stations, providing daily harvest updates to Fisheries Service Biologists and Managers, entering harvest data into the commercial permits databases, and organizing and archiving harvest records and permitting paperwork. The selected candidate also communicates changes in fishing season dates and limits to check in stations, makes daily updates to a commercial harvest update call in line, and will assist in communicating with permit holders through mailings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.

Experience: One (1) year of experience in administrative or professional work with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite programs.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.

2. Candidates may substitute 90 credit hours at an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.
