Main Purpose of Job
The Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Service Training Division located in Annapolis, Maryland, is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Contractual Instructor. This position will be a part-time position less than 600 hours annually. The selected candidate is the primary instructor for Introduction to Search and Rescue, as well as instructing Incident Command System classes for staff assigned to the Maryland Park Service. This incumbent must be familiar with the search and rescue community in Maryland, and carry appropriate certifications with the National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR).
Note: Applicant must be able to start in early September 2015.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Search and Rescue Community, including Maryland State Police (MSP) operations as related to Search and Rescue, Candidate must be recognized by Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) as an Incident Command System Instructor at various levels. Minimum of 3 years of in-class and field teaching experience is required with the Maryland Park Service or other similar organizations.
