LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
The Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Service, Rocks State Park in Jarrettsville, Maryland (Harford County) is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Park Ranger. This position will be a 9- month contractual position working up to 20 hours per week Fall 2015 - Winter 2016. The incumbent will be responsible for performing operations in Rocks, Susquehanna and Palmer State Parks. In addition to operations, duties will include boundary recovery, community outreach, and general park maintenance.
Note: Applicant must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience working in park operations and interacting with the public.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with GPS or GIS is preferred.
Prior (face-to face customer service experience is preferred.
Some college coursework is preferred.
