Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to identify educational needs of the facility, set priorities, develop programs for meeting these needs and evaluate outcomes.  This is a professional, facility-wide position reporting to the Director of Staff Development & Education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience planning and conducting employee development and training.

Note(s):  1.  Additional experience in planning, conducting or coordinating training or staff development activities may substitute on a year for year basis for the required education.

2.  Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in education and training classification or education and training specialty codes in the education and training field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate will be familiar with Google Programs (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) and be proficient in training technologies and presentation software.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
