Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to direct and administer programs within the Behavioral Health Authority (BHA) and the Prevention and Health Communications (PHC) program. Provide administrative supervision and leadership to employees. Provide oversight to the planning and quality monitoring of service delivery for behavioral health and Prevention. Provide leadership to the Local Health Improvement Coalition and the accreditation staff. This position serves as the primary contact for media relations. This position is designated emergency essential

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field and six years professional experience in health services, four of which must have been in professional clinical or administrative services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Addictions, and four of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.

Applicants may substitute a master’s or Doctoral degree in a health or human services field for up to two years of the required general experience.  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.
