Main Purpose of Job
The Contractual Community Health Nurse I is the intermediate level of direct nursing care to patients in various community settings and local health department clinics. The main purpose of this position is to protect and promote the health of individuals and the community by the provision of services offered through the Communicable Disease program and by providing community health services via the Wellness Connection program within the school system in Queen Anne's County.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurse.
Experience: None.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215.
2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this classification will be required to provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.
