Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to develop and be responsible for compliance cases at the Maryland Board of Physicians from the initial complaint stage through final disposition and probation.  This is a full performance level of work conducting investigations of licensed health care practitioners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or university.

Experience: One year of experience conducting investigations in the areas of health care, insurance, medical malpractice or other related investigative experience as defined by Maryland Board of Physicians.

Notes:

1. Experience conducting investigations in the area of health care, insurance, medical malpractice or other related investigative experience as defined by the Maryland Board of Physicians may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Legal or Investigator classification or Legal or Investigator specialty codes in the Investigation field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
