Main Purpose of Job
The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for an Administrative Aide position for the Department of Budget and Management. The position supports at least three attorneys and a paralegal. Position responsibilities include preparing and typing correspondence, legal memoranda, and pleadings; receiving and screening telephone calls; interacting with various State agencies and Courts; and generally assisting with the secretarial administration of the Unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Four years secretarial experience.
Notes: 1. Pertinent volunteer and/or part time experience is acceptable.
2. Applicants may substitute an Associates of Arts degree with a major in Secretarial Science from an accredited college for up to two years of the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, telephone experience and excellent organizational skills.
Legal secretarial experience preferred.
