Main Purpose of Job

The Plan Services Manager, under general direction of the Plan & Partner Management Director, is responsible for the day to day management, operational stategy, policies, and procedures of the Plan Services functional area.  The Plan Services Manager will have overall responsibility for plan certification approval for the Exchange qualified health and dental plans. The Plan Services Manager will interface heavily with key stakeholders such as carrier, TPAs and other State agencies and regulatory bodies.  The Plan Services Manager will provide leadership and supervision for the Plan Services team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Adminstration, Business Adminstration, or related field.  At least three (3) years' experience in the insurance sector, including working with small employers, health insurers, or health coverage stakeholder groups.  A Master's degree in public health, public administration, business administration, or related field is preferred and will substitute for year of experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidates will possess experience in the commercial health insurance market, a full understanding of producer and TPA operations, the ability to make presentations to large audiences.
