Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position, serving as the Health Department Administrator, is to direct the administrative services of the Allegany County Health Department.  Under the supervision of the Health Officer, this position performs the administrative duties to the daily operations with an operating budget of over $22.3 million and over 300 employees.  Job duties include managing and supervising all administrative services performed in the Allegany County Health Department, including budget, grants, fiscal services, billing, timekeeping, IT, vital records, and Human Resources. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a business-related field (accounting, business administration) and five years of administrative experience, three of which must have included responsibility related to budget, accounting, personnel, or related matters, and two years of supervisory experience.
