THIS IS A POSITION-SPECIFIC RECRUITMENT FOR MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL ENTERPRISES.

Main Purpose of Job

Design, specify and manage various assigned state and state funded projects encompassing a variety of Maryland Correctional Enterprises products and services with an emphasis on furniture.  Job requires management and implementation of all projects from initial client contact to final delivery and inspection of goods or services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years of experience working in space planning.  

Notes: Candidates may substitute one year of the required experience for additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university in Interior Design, Architecture or related field at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year to year basis.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Six (6) months of experience working with AutoCAD is required for this position.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1- Proficiency in Sketch Up / Photoshop, Illustrator are a plus

2- Strong knowledge of the design process including FF&E, specifications, color, styles and materials is preferred.

3- Must be computer literate, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Office Suite.
