Main Purpose of Job

The Eastern Shore Hospital Center (ESHC) Psychiatrist Clinical Manager is psychiatric physician work at the managerial level. The position in this classification is located at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center only. Employees in this classification supervise or oversee the supervision of all assigned professional, technical and support staff employees through subordinate supervisors. Employees receive managerial supervision from a higher-level administrator or an executive.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1.  Possession of a degree in medicine from an accredited college or university and experience providing psychiatric clinical services to patients.

2.  Applicants must be board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1.  Applicants must be board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

2.  Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law.  A copy of a current Maryland medical license and board certification should be attached to the application.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs
