Main Purpose of Job

Located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in Dorchester County is the Eastern Shore Hospital Center.  This facility is an Acute Inpatient Psychiatric facility that provides psychiatric clinical services to approximately 80 clients.

The ESHC has current openings for Psychiatrist Clinical Manager.   This position will work day shift with the ability to work week nights and weekends as an O.D. with additional compensation.  This position will be provided with full state benefits to include: paid leave, health insurance, pension, tort claims and moving expenses as available.   Due to the federal designation as an underserved area, loan repayment may be available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1.  Possession of a degree in medicine from an accredited college or university and experience providing psychiatric clinical services to patients.

2.  Applicants must be board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1.  Applicants must be board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

2.  Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law.  A copy of a current Maryland medical license and board certification should be attached to the application.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs
