Main Purpose of Job
The position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of facilities within their designated regions and serves as the primary contract of individual facility/reservation managers. The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and construction activities within their region from project planning, budgeting; scoping, contract, execution, and project close out. Value of projects range from $1 to over $5M.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two years of experience as a design and project manager engineer or architect for agency capital and operating construction, maintenance and system services projects.
Notes:
1. Additional experience as an engineer or architect in the building construction field involving the design, construction or repair of building structures or system services may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Professional Engineer or Professional Architect registration in the State of Maryland or in a state with comparable requirements may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Engineering and Architecture classifications or Engineering and Architecture specialty codes in the Architecture field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be afforded to candidates with experience in the following:
Knowledge of Integrated Work Management Systems (IWMS) and PrideWEB.
One year of combined experience with State of Maryland and Federal contract management.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees may be required to carry an electronic paging device or provide the employing agency with a telephone number where the employee can be reached after normal business hours.
Employees are required to obtain National agency clearance investigation within six months of employment. Employee who fail to obtain the clearance will be subject to disciplinary action up to an including termination.
