Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the position is to direct and manage the administrative activities of the Wicomico County Health Department. Responsible for direction, supervision and guidance of all administrative and support services, major programs and policy development subject to the final approval of the Health Officer. Major Divisions are: Environmental Health, Behavioral Health Services, Administration, Case Management, and Behavioral Health Authority. This position is designated emergency essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and six years of professional experience related to health care service delivery; three years of which should have been in a supervisory or managerial position. A Masters degree will substitute for one year of general experience. Additional experience will substitute year-for-year for the college degree.
