Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to direct the activities of a complex, comprehensive health care program within DHMH Washington County Health Department.  This position provides prevention, intervention and treatment services to an addicted and mentally ill population in a moderately large County, and surrounding states (Pennsylvania and West Virginia as well as state-wide (adolescent residential program and transitional housing program). Services are provided from an array of programs including Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Corrections-based Residential Substance Abuse Treatment, Residential Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment, Medical Services and County Prevention Services. The Division employees over 120 staff at any given time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of experience working in the area of substance abuse and mental health and 3 years of supervisory experience.
