BASIC PURPOSE

This position is located at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS

This position is responsible for scheduling classes and in-services, handling discipline and the monitoring of teachers and staff.  Duties include assigning duties and responsibilities as well as monitoring the functions of the Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade academic, vocational, physical education and special needs programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A master’s degree from an accredited college or university, a Secondary/elementary Principal Certificate, certification in Deaf Education and 5 years teaching experience. Candidates must be proficient in American Sign Language to be considered.  

CONCLUSION

Veteran’s preference points apply only for initial appointment in the classified service.
