INTRODUCTION

Position is located at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary.

Mechanical Journeyman license issued by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board required. 

BASIC PURPOSE

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the layout, installation, maintenance and repair of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, sheet metal (duct work) and/or natural gas piping systems in a state agency or facility.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

Level II                         
This is the career level of this job family where employees are assigned duties as a mechanical journeyman in completing a full range of tasks and responsibilities in the installation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems and related components.  This may include some responsibility to provide training and direction to apprentice personnel or to other non-licensed personnel assigned as helpers. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Level II                          
Education and Experience required at this level consists of current Mechanical Journeyman license issued by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board.

Scores based on:   100% Evaluation of Education and Experience listed on a supplemental questionnaire
