Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS)offers excellent benefit and retirement packages.  

Location:  DMHSAS/Rose Rock Recovery Center in Vinita, OK 

Primary Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Salary Range:  $36,982 annual - $46,783 annual

Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and OSBI background check.

Basic Purpose: 
Under general supervision provides integrated counseling for persons with alcohol/drug use/abuse and mental illness as well as other services.  

This position has ability to address multiple interlocking problems and the problems cannot be separated into free-standing components.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Master’s degree in Behavioral Science and two (2) year experience working with clients who have both mental illness and addiction issues or in a position with a dual emphasis.

OR

Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and three (3) years experience working with clients who have both mental illness and addiction issues or in a position with a dual emphasis.

Preference may be given to individuals Certified as an Alcohol/Drug Counselor or who are Licensed Professional Counselors.

Special Requirements: 
Willing to fulfill any job related travel normally associated with position.  

Possession of an Oklahoma driver license.

Some positions may require experience in counseling adolescents or in co-occurring diagnosis.

Positions within the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for Levels I,  II, III, and IV requires professional treatment staff for adults knowledgeable regarding the biopsychosocial dimensions of substance abuse, counseling theory and techniques and possess one of the following;  a current license as a physician in the State of Oklahoma; or a doctoral degree in psychology; or shall have a current certification as a CADC or be working toward CADC certification; and a masters degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or an addiction related field; or a minimum of one year of supervised experience in an addiction treatment setting and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or  a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 12 hours in counseling coursework; or a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Oklahoma, plus a minimum of two years of supervised experience in an addiction treatment setting; or current certification as a certified alcohol counselor.    Professional treatment staff for adolescents shall also have received training in cultural, gender and age specific counseling techniques, child and adolescent development and issues, individual and family counseling theory and techniques.
