The Office of Management and Enterprise Services, Information Services Division is seeking an experienced .NET Developer for the Oklahoma Department of Juvenile Affairs. This position will be located on Oklahoma City.  This is a full time, unclassified position in State government and will be eligible for a generous total rewards package. The individual in this position will support the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs applications to include managing the operational processes, programming and responding to ad hoc query requests. Responsible in planning and development of automated applications systems to support the business needs of an organization. This includes review and analysis of user functions and activities, evaluation of available resources and current systems, and the development of appropriate programs or systems. Works with users, management and others to identify and define long and short-range information services requirements. Assist in the decision-making process in order to best utilize existing technologies and to help troubleshoot and correct any errors in processing. 

Principal Activities:
Confer with users to evaluate requirements. Discuss solutions and develop an approach utilizing existing and new technologies.

Analyze and design program logic, screen layouts, reports and testing criteria to support development of new or enhancement to existing systems.

Prepare program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications to include system, user and operations documentation.

Conduct or coordinate user acceptance, performance stress, regression and integration testing; make changes and corrections as needed.

Participate in structured walk-through and other activities to review systems and provide training and support.

Perform ongoing maintenance and review of applications systems and programs

Design, develop & deploy Microsoft SQL database projects (v7.0 – 2008)

Perform related work as required and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements include completion of a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field; or twenty four hours of computer science or management information systems course work at an accredited college or university or a comparable vocational or technical education course resulting in certification in computer programming, plus 4 years of experience in applications programming and analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERENCE may be given to applicants who possess the following:

.NET development (Visual Studio 2003-2008) Web Apps Development and Desktop Application Development

Ability to link SQLServer and IBM-DB2 Databases

SharePoint development experience

Javascript

Programming Documentation Skills.

Develop high-level and detail design specifications.
