Introduction

This position is located in the Air Quality Division. 

MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Serve as Division receptionist and provide secretarial support to Division sections. Perform general secretarial duties, including preparation, handling and filing of confidential data, records, and correspondence, scheduling appointments and answering division phones.  Handle the mailing of correspondence and forms for the Air Quality Division.  Pick up mail and deliver outgoing mail to the mailroom each morning and afternoon.  Open, date stamp and distribute incoming Air Quality Division mail.  Prepare incoming and historical documents for scanning into Agency electronic document database.  Assist with indexing as needed.  Schedule conference rooms for the Division.  Maintain records via electronic calendar.  Maintain general office supplies and prepare supply requests for division accounting technician.  Must be familiar with the operation of office equipment such as fax machine and copier.  Should also be  familiar with Microsoft Outlook and Word programs.

BASIC PURPOSE

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities for performing confidential secretarial duties for an agency official or administrator.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

Level I:
At this level employees perform confidential secretarial duties for a first-level manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Level I:  
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of two years of clerical office work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Selection Plan

Scores Based On: 50% Written Test and 50% Typing Test (the pass point is 40 words per minute)
