POSITION: Senior Research Analyst
DIVISION: Policy, Research & Economic Analysis
SUPERVISOR: Deidre Myers
JOB LOCATION: Oklahoma City
SALARY: $45,000 - $60,000

•Perform strategic and competitive business intelligence in targeted industries. This includes supporting attraction and business retention goals.
•Research, analyze issues; and assess opportunities in companies, markets, and industries. This includes being aware and making recommendations of state policies and regulations impacting businesses.
•Forecast economic and/or demographic variables.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Must be self-directed and have excellent analytical, quantitative and writing skills. Must be skilled in economic, financial, or marketing analysis and in using computers and computer software to store, retrieve and produce reports.
Required skills include the ability to:
•Synthesize, summarize and communicate information from a variety of sources;
•Manage projects, including defining customer requirements and managing project contributions of cross-functional team members; and
•Communicate business intelligence concisely.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have knowledge of research principles and a familiarity with sources of statistical data on state and national levels.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree and work that demonstrates analytical and communication skills is required. A master’s degree is preferred. Ideal applicants should have at least 5 years work experience conducting policy, economic, financial, marketing or similar analysis and research in an analyst position for a business, government, or university.
