BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Oklahoma Child Support Services-Midwest City office has an opening for a full-time attorney (OCSS Attorney IV, $4669.79 monthly) with experience in child support enforcement. This position will be located at 9901S E 29th Street Midwest City Oklahoma.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS 
This position involves the preparation and trial of cases in child support related hearings in district and administrative courts, and preparation and filing of pleadings.  Duties will also included consultation and negotiation with other attorneys and customers of Oklahoma Child Support Services.  Position will train and assist staff with preparation of legal documents and insure their compliance with ethical considerations.

Preference maybe given to candidates with experience in Child Support and Family Law.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of legal principles and their application; of legal research methods; of the scope of Oklahoma statutory law and the provisions of the Oklahoma Constitution; of the principles of administrative and constitutional law; of trial and administrative hearing procedures; and the rules of evidence; Skill in performing research, analyzing, appraising and applying legal principles, facts and precedents to legal problems; in presenting statements of facts, law and argument clearly and logically in written and oral form; in drafting statutes and other legal instruments and documents; and in dictating correspondence involving the explanation of legal matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position may be filled at an Alternate Hiring Level as a Child Support Enforcement Attorney III (beginning salary $4067.52 monthly), Child Support Enforcement Attorney II (beginning salary $3711.05 monthly), or as a Child Support Enforcement Attorney I (beginning salary $3354.59 monthly), dependent on Child Support or Family Law experience and minimum qualifications as per State policy.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATE 
Active member in the Oklahoma Bar Association is required. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF APPLICANT'S CURRENT OBA CARD.

NOTES 
A conditional offer of employment to final candidate will be contingent upon a favorable background check and a substance abuse screening.

BENEFITS
This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
