Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Possession of a valid Oklahoma license as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice nursing and at least two (2) years of professional nursing experience, including one year in a specialized area of nursing, appropriate for the health care setting; or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing may substitute for the two (2) years of required experience.
Major Work Duties:
Provides professional nursing services and assumes responsibility for the direct care of assigned pediatric patients, experiencing severe emotional disorder(s) or psychiatric illness or substance abuse. Accountable for supervision and training of Patient Care Assistants of all administrative and operational functions of the Children’s Recovery Center (CRC).
Additional Factors for Consideration: Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
