ASSISTANT GENERAL COUNSEL
Commissioners of the Land Office
The Secretary for the Commissioners of the Land Office (“CLO”) is seeking applicants for the position of ASSISTANT GENERAL COUNSEL.  The CLO manages 750,000 surface acres, 1.1 million mineral acres, and a trust corpus of nearly $2 billion for the benefit of Oklahoma Common Schools and Higher Education Institutions.   
The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma, have experience in Civil Litigation, and possess the abilities to analyze, research, develop legal positions, and advise the Agency.  A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney is strongly preferred.  A general knowledge of Oil and Gas Law, Real Estate Law, and/or Employment Law is preferred.  Experience working in or with a state or federal agency is also preferred.  The successful applicant must be able to travel locally and out of town when necessary. 
The ASSISTANT GENERAL COUNSEL will perform duties under the supervision of the CLO’s General Counsel.
The CLO provides the state employee benefit package.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
