The Urgent Recovery Center (URC) is the first mental health/substance abuse urgent care center for adults in Oklahoma. It will provide up to 24 hours of crisis intervention and related services for individuals in mental health and/or substance abuse crisis situations. Treatment philosophy to be trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person centered recovery oriented in nature. Provides peer support services; serves as an advocate; provides information and peer support for consumers in emergency, outpatient or inpatient settings. The RSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. The RSS will possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS stakeholders. Requires High School Diploma or GED. Demonstrated participation in advocacy and/or personal knowledge in recovery. Currently is, or has the ability to become a Credentialed Recovery Support Specialist.
