The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is a government agency providing services to other Oklahoma government agencies. We are seeking a full time, unclassified Procurement Specialist for the Agency Business Services Division in Oklahoma City. We offer a comprehensive Benefits Packet, and a competitive annual salary of $42,000.
The Procurement Specialist primarily performs duties involving technical and administrative support related to the contracting and procurement of goods and services. This includes preparation of bids specifications, requisitions and contracts. Additionally, performs routine technical work including reviewing and processing requisitions, advising agency on departmental requirements and monitoring contract activity.
This position requires Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a closely related field, plus two years of experience involving contracting and purchasing for an agency or institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical experience in purchasing or in writing and/or reviewing purchase requisitions or specifications, for each year of the required education. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, is required.
Candidates must obtain a Certified Procurement Officer (CPO) certification within 6-months of employment.
Preference may be given to candidates with PeopleSoft experience.
